What is ECR?

ECR stands for “Efficient Consumer Response”. The ECR movement effectively began in the mid-nineties with the understanding that companies can serve consumers better, faster and at less cost by working together with trading partners.

ECR is a joint trade and industry body committed to making the grocery sector as a whole more responsive to consumer demand and to promoting the removal of unnecessary costs from the supply chain. National ECR initiatives work closely with each other in most European countries. Through participation in collaborative projects at European and national levels, best practices are identified which enable retailers and manufacturers to reduce inefficiencies in their supply chain and to optimize consumer value.

In recent years, our annual conference attracts more than 500 delegates and are still growing. In 2010 we expect to double the fihures to have 1000+ participants form 20+ countries. This is the biggest event in Russia for top managers in the retailing and FMCG industry. The accompanying Marketplace has grown steadily over the years.
